After winning her third French Open title last month thanks to another dominant showing, Polish star Iga Swiatek arrives at this year's Wimbledon as the bookmakers favourite for victory.

With four major titles under her belt already, despite still only being 22, she has the experience to claim a first title in SW19 but she has shown vulnerability at this tournament before. A fourth round finish in 2021 represents Swiatek's best result so far and there's plenty of challengers again this time around.

The 2022 Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina and current world number two Aryna Sabalenka look the most likely, in the bottom half of the draw, to reach the final. If they get there, they'll both be eager to shut down Swiatek's fantastic recent form if she does the business on her own side of the draw in the buildup.

The Sporting News analyses the odds to bring you the best bets for Wimbledon 2023.

Wimbledon 2023: Best bet

  • Pick: Elena Rybakina to win Wimbledon 2023
  • Odds: +550 (BetMGM)

While Polish star and current women's world number one Swiatek remains the bookmakers favourite to win the 2023 edition of Wimbledon, we're picking Rybakina to win this tournament instead.

Swiatek won at the French Open last time out but her career so far has seen her struggle under the pressure in SW19. Her best result saw her reach the fourth round in 2021, but a shock straight sets lost to Alizé Cornet here last year highlighted her vulnerability.

As such, we're instead taking Rybakina to win this event in 2023.

The 24-year-old Kazakhstani star won her maiden Wimbledon title with a three set victory over Ons Jabeur last year and holds a strong overall career record on grass (69.7%). She also avoided being on the same side of the draw as Swiatek which acts as another huge bonus.

Wimbledon 2023: Prop bet

  • Pick: Coco Gauff to reach the quarter-finals
  • Odds: 6/5 (SkyBet)

After reaching the quarter final at the 2023 French Open, we're backing American star Coco Gauff to continue her great form from Paris at Wimbledon this year.

She has somewhat struggled previously at this tournament, her best result coming when reaching the fourth round in both 2019 and 2021, but with a favourable draw this time around, a final eight appearance looks likely.

To reach that stage she'd need to get the better of either the number 11 or 19 seed in the fourth round which remains questionable, but after some big, dominant victories at Roland Garros, her confidence will be flowing.

Wimbledon 2023: Flier bet

  • Pick: Swiatek & Jabeur to reach the semi-finals
  • Odds: 10/1 (SkyBet)

We've already spoken plenty about Swiatek who should reach the semi final stage of Wimbledon this year with ease, but this 10/1 shot gets its value from Ons Jabeur's inclusion.

The Tunisian star reached the final in SW19 last season and continues to regularly threaten during the major tournaments.

This year she'll have to get through a tough draw to make the final four but with a 74.42% win-rate on grass throughout his career to date, she has another really good chance at this tournament. Her 22 wins to five losses on this surface since tennis resumed following the Covid-19 outbreak make this bet an appealing proposition.
