WNBA All-Star voting results 2023: A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart lead list of starters, reserves for rosters

We're nearing the midway point of a historic WNBA season, and the 19th WNBA All-Star Game is on the horizon.

With the festivities set for Saturday, July 15, the game's starter pool was revealed ahead of an ABC doubleheader on Sunday, June 25. Reserves will be announced on Saturday, July 1.

The two leading vote-getters will serve as All-Star captains and select their teams during the All-Star Team Selection Special on Saturday, July 8.

 After receiving the most fan votes, Stewart and Wilson will duel as All-Star captains for the second consecutive year. Last year, Team Wilson defeated Team Stewart at the All-Star Game in Chicago.

Boston, who was selected first overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft, is the sixth rookie to start in the All-Star Game and the first since 2014.

New York's Sabrina Ionescu and Atlanta's Allisha Gray just missed the cut at guard. In the frontcourt, Connecticut's Alyssa Thomas and Washington's Elena Delle Donne didn't receive enough votes to earn the start.

The reserves for the 2023 WNBA All-Star Game will be selected by the league's head coaches. The reserves are led by Connecticut's Alyssa Thomas and Washington's Elena Delle Donne.

The league's head coaches will vote for three guards, five frontcourt players and four players at either position.

If a player is unable to play in the All-Star Game, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert will appoint a replacement player.
