For the third year in a row, there will be golf in Paradise. Nevada, that is.

Live updates, highlights from The Match 2023 featuring NFL, NBA stars

When Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson tee off on Thursday, at least one player will have some familiarity with Wynn Golf Club. In 2022, alongside Josh Allen, Mahomes played (and lost) in The Match 6 against Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers at the course.

While the four players won't play all 18 given the format of the tournament, the 12 holes that they will play provide a challenge. With enough hazards, bunkers and elevation to give a pro golfer fits, the four out on the course on Thursday afternoon will surely provide enough bloopers and entertainment to make you think, "Hey, they're just like us."

Here's what to know about the location for The Match on June 29:

Where is The Match in 2023?

  • Location: Paradise, Nev.
  • Venue: Wynn Golf Club

For the third time, The Match will be played at Wynn Golf Club in Paradise, Nev., a designated town inside of Las Vegas.

Previously, it hosted Bryson DeChambeau vs. Brooks Koepka in 2021, and a matchup of the four quarterbacks — Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen — in 2022.

Wynn Golf Club course details

  • Par: 70
  • Yardage: 6,722

Wynn Golf Club is a shorter course than most PGA Tour players on — it sits under 7,000 yards — but still has a championship length. That might not matter, though: The format dictates that the golfers will only play 12 holes of the 18 on the course, so the length will probably not come into play.

Formerly known as the Desert Inn Golf Course, the layout was home to the Sentry Tournament of Champions between 1953 and 1966 and was in the Las Vegas Invitational rotation between 1983 and 2000.

There are water hazards on 12 of the course's 18 holes, made by groundwater, lakes and streams, and the site also features 8,000 trees, making for a scenic (and punishing) course.
