There wasn't a question as to who the No. 1 pick was going to be in the 2023 NBA Draft.
It was clear in 2022 that Victor Wembanyama was the top prospect in his class. He solidified his standing with an outstanding season in France that saw him average 21.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game as a member of Metropolitans 92.
Those numbers earned Wembanyama a number of awards, including MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
Now, Wembanyama will begin his next basketball journey, joining David Robinson and Tim Duncan as the only players the Spurs have ever selected with the No. 1 overall pick. With that comes a lot of perks, including a contract that will pay him over $50 million.
