The biggest name in women's basketball right now is still Caitlin Clark. While the Iowa phenom came up just short of a national championship with the Hawkeyes earlier this year, her ridiculous skillset has drawn comparisons to some of the greats of both the men's and women's games.
Clark helped generate a rare amount of buzz for the women's NCAA Tournament in the spring, and the WNBA is hoping the fan interest will start to translate to the professional level.
When Clark steps foot on a WNBA court, she will already be one of the highest-profile players in the league's recent history.

Here's what you need to know about Clark's WNBA eligibility, including where we will see her on the court next.
Is Caitlin Clark playing in the WNBA?
Clark is not playing in the WNBA just yet. She wasn't eligible for this year's WNBA Draft and is set to play another season at Iowa.
After drawing in fans from all over during the Hawkeyes' NCAA Tournament this past season, all eyes will be on Clark as she continues her college career. Thanks to NIL deals, she has a chance to be handsomely rewarded for her talents well before she reaches the WNBA.
When is Caitlin Clark eligible for the WNBA Draft?
The WNBA requires that players turn 22 in the same calendar year as the draft to be eligible, and Clark does not turn 22 until 2024. That rule prevented Clark from entering the WNBA Draft this year, but it means she will be eligible for the draft in 2024.
That sets the stage for potentially one final collegiate season for Clark, who will attempt to lead Iowa to a national title after coming one win away in April. LSU is expected to stand in the way of that goal again, as the reigning champion Tigers have loaded up through the transfer portal and are favorites to repeat.
Win or lose in 2024, Clark is fully expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the next WNBA Draft.

How old is Caitlin Clark?
Clark is still 21 years old and won't turn 22 until Jan. 22, 2024. Because her 22nd birthday falls in 2024, she wasn't eligible for the 2023 WNBA Draft.
