The wait is over: Victor Wembanyama's highly anticipated NBA debut is behind us.

Well, Summer League debut.

The French phenom picked up a win in his Spurs' debut, even if his nine points didn't live up to the insurmountable hype. Scoot Henderson (shoulder) and Amen Thompson (ankle) both showed out in a battle before both rookies left their debuts with injuries, while Max Christie made headlines in the Lakers' win over the Warriors.

NBA Summer League results: Scores, stats for Las Vegas Day 1 games

All times are Eastern.

Timberwolves 102, Pelicans 88

Minnesota opens up its time in Las Vegas with a double-digit win. Canadian Leonard Miller, who spent last season with G League Ignite, led the way with an impressive 16-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Bucks 92, Nuggets 85

Second-year forward MarJon Beauchamp, another G League Ignite alum, led the way for Milwaukee with 23 points and eight rebounds. For Denver, second-year forward Peyton Watson impressed with 23 points.

Bulls 83, Raptors 74

Canadian sharpshooter Nate Darling led the way for Chicago with 15 points and three triples. For Toronto, rookie Gradey Dick struggled to find his shot but finished with 10 points.

Rockets 100, Trail Blazers 99

Jabari Smith Jr. scored 29 points in the second half to finish with 33 points on the night, including an incredible game-winning 3 at the buzzer. Fun as the game was, it was marred by injuries to Rockets rookie Amen Thompson and Blazers rookie Scoot Henderson.

Cavaliers 101, Nets 99

Sharife Cooper finished with 27 points for the Cavs, who emerged with a four-point win over Brooklyn. Cleveland's Isaiah Mobley filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

Spurs 76, Hornets 68

Victor Wembanyama's Summer League debut was the main attraction, and the former No. 1 overall pick impressed with his passing and rim protection. Wembanyama finished with just nine points on 2-for-13 shooting, but San Antonio earned an eight-point win.

Kings 80, Hawks 76

Former North Carolina star Brady Manek tried to steal the show for the Hawks with 17 points and five 3-pointers off the bench but a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double from Neemias Queta and 20 points from Jordan Ford helped lead the Kings to victory.

Lakers 103, Warriors 96

Lakers second-year forward Max Christie scored an efficient 22 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field while going 7-for-7 from the free throw line. He was getting MVP chants from the Las Vegas crowd and his poster dunk was one of the best highlights from all of Day 1 of Summer League.
