Rose Zhang is continuing her meteoric rise in the ranks of professional women's golf.

The Stanford superstar was invited to compete in the 69th Women's PGA Championship from June 22-25 at Baltusrol Lower Course in Springfield, N.J. This is the LPGA Tour's second major of the 2023 season, but Zhang's first pro appearance in a major.

Zhang will compete in a field of 156 players, which is highlighted by 19 of the top 20 in the Rolex Women's World Rankings, for a $9 million purse.

The 20-year-old won the Mizuho Americas Open at the beginning of the month. Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho went to a playoff after tying at 9 under for 72 holes. Zhang defeated Kupcho on the second hole for the glory.

She made history with that win, becoming the first LPGA Tour golfer to win her debut in 72 years, and walked out with $412,500. She also has 2022 and 2023 NCAA individual titles on her shelf.
