The drama at Bills minicamp is over. At least, that's what coach Sean McDermott claims.

A day after McDermott said he was "very concerned" about star wide receiver Stefon Diggs' absence, McDermott clarified his comments Wednesday and told reporters the situation is "resolved."

"We got to a point yesterday where we felt like we all needed a break and some space," McDermott said, adding that Diggs "did everything he was asked to do" but was excused from practice.

Diggs returned to practice on Wednesday, allowing Bills fans to breathe easier after an unexpected June controversy.

It isn't clear whether there was an incident that prompted McDermott to excuse Diggs, but it didn't sound like a mutual decision when McDermott expressed concern on Tuesday.

"I'm not gonna get into [why]. Listen, I respect everyone's questions and what they wanna know about our team right now. I'm just not gonna get into that right now," McDermott initially told reporters.

Diggs, who signed a contract extension less than a year ago, posted a cryptic message on Instagram hours later.

For now, all appears to be well in Buffalo, but there's no telling when the frustration that first bubbled up for Diggs during the Bills' playoff loss to the Bengals might resurface in what will be a championship-or-bust year for the franchise.
