It was a tough 2022 for George Kambosos, going down twice to Devin Haney - both via unanimous decision - and losing the belts he won from Teofimo Lopez in the process.

But after some much-needed rest and recovery, Kambosos is ready to get back in the ring.

Kambosos' co-promoter Top Rank confirmed he'd be fighting in an IBF lightweight world title eliminator, with the IBO title also on the line.

When is Kambosos vs Hughes?

Kambosos and Hughes will meet on Saturday, July 22 (Sunday, July 23 in Australia).

For Kambosos, it will be nine months since the Haney rematch, while Hughes was last in action in September when he defeated Kid Galahad.

Where will Kambosos vs Hughes take place?

The bout has landed in the curious location of Shawnee, Oklahoma.

The Firelake Arena, which has a capacity of around 5,000, will play host to the event.
