Serbian star Novak Djokovic will be looking to claim an eighth Wimbledon title when the action gets under way on Monday July 3, to equal the record currently held by tennis maestro Roger Federer.

His preparation couldn't have gone much better this season so far. Wins at the Australian Open and French Open have seem him take top spot for the most men's major titles ever won (23) and as a result, he arrives in SW19 as the bookmakers favourite to win here again.

There are plenty of challengers on the horizon however, namely current world number one Carlos Alcaraz who will be aiming for his maiden Wimbledon title this season. Fellow top five seeds Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud and Stefanos Tsitsipas also all look well-placed for a deep run in the tournament this time around.

The Sporting News analyses the odds to bring you the best bets for Wimbledon 2023.

Wimbledon 2023: Best bet

  • Pick: Carlos Alcaraz to reach the final
  • Odds: 5/4 (SkyBet)

On the back of his first win at Queens in the build-up to this major tournament, expect Spanish wonderkid Carlos Alcaraz to be on top form at Wimbledon this time around.

The 20-year-old has largely struggled at this event in the past, getting knocked out in the second round and fourth round in his two appearances to date, but his win at The cinch Championships last weekend came on grass, which boosts his Wimbledon hopes.

At 5/4 to reach the final, the world No.1 seems very good value for that. He's beginning to get used to the big occasions on a more regular basis and he likely would have reached the final at the French Open last month had Djokovic not stood in his way.

At Wimbledon, we could well see that match-up in the final.

Wimbledon 2023: Prop bet

  • Pick: Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon 2023
  • Odds: -160 (BetMGM)

With a calendar Grand Slam in the offering after victories at both the Australian and French Opens, expect to see Djokovic dominate at this year's Wimbledon.

The Serbian star recently took the lead in terms of most men's grand slam titles won with 23 and, with his vast experience, we're very likely to see him breeze into the latter stages of this tournament.

His record of 86 wins to 10 losses on the grass of Wimbledon tells you all you need to know about his domination at this event previously.

Wimbledon 2023: Flier bet

  • Pick: Djokovic to reach the semi-finals & face Ruud
  • Odds: 12/1 (SkyBet)

The value on this 12/1 bet obviously comes from the selection of Casper Ruud reaching the final four at Wimbledon in 2023 rather than Djokovic.

At as high as 101.00 with Dafabet to win the tournament, the Norwegian star still seems to be underrated by many but his strong showing at the French Open highlights his capabilities.

On that occasion, Djokovic proved too strong for the 24-year-old Oslo native but his run to the final in Paris saw him overcome fellow seeds Holger Rune and Alex Zverev along the way.

He'll need to do similar again this time around but with his strong form so far in 2023, we feel like this selection offers some really good value for money.
