Heading into Week 3, it's easy to go overreact to whatever happened the first two weeks, but every season, we see players adjust. We already saw some of that between Weeks 1 and 2, so we're all still trying to figure out what's real and what isn't. It's usually best to continue to stick with your drafted starters this week, but there are always exceptions, especially when it comes to workload and injuries.

As always, RotoBaller factored in usage, matchups, and talent into its Week 3 rankings, and it’s reflected in their “Who to Start?” tool. Check out an example from each offensive position.

Advice below based on full-point PPR leagues

Start or Sit?: Week 3 fantasy QB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Carson Wentz (vs. Eagles) vs. Tua Tagovailoa (vs. Bills) vs. Russell Wilson (vs. 49ers)

We're taking a break from including Aaron Rodgers here (and, sadly, we can no longer include Trey Lance). Instead, we'll focus on two of this season's biggest surprises and a veteran who's alternated between good and bad this year. RotoBaller ranks Wentz one spot ahead of Tagovailoa and two spots ahead of Wilson, and that's likely due to the fact he has the best matchup. The Eagles frustrated Kirk Cousins last Monday -- and you know they'll be fired up to face Wentz -- but they're still a softer defensive unit than the Bills or 49ers. Wentz is a rollercoaster, and despite some bad mistakes, he's finished both games this year with big fantasy points. Here's thinking he'll go three-for-three.

Start or Sit?: Week 3 fantasy RB lineup advice from RotoBaller

Jamaal Williams (@ Vikings) vs. Breece Hall (vs. Bengals) vs. Rhamondre Stevenson (vs. Ravens) vs. Tony Pollard (@ Giants)

It's a battle of the handcuffs, all of whom see a good amount of snaps and touches. Obviously, if Damien Harris' knee injury keeps him out, then Stevenson is the no-brainer pick here, but if Harris plays, RotoBaller likes Williams by a hair over Stevenson. Hall follows one spot behind Stevenson, with Pollard ranked a few spots lower than him. Hall has the most upside, but he's still being notably out-snapped by Michael Carter. Stevenson and Pollard are trending up, too, but Williams probably has the highest floor given his usual 10-plus carries, including all of Detroit's goal-line carries.

Start or Sit?: Week 3 fantasy WR lineup advice from RotoBaller

Garrett Wilson (vs. Bengals) vs. Jahan Dotson (vs. Eagles) vs. DeVonta Smith (@ Commanders) vs. Adam Thielen (vs. Lions)

Wilson is the flavor of the week, while Dotson is also riding high after a hot start. Smith pulled a no-show in Week 1 but looked great in Week 2, while Thielen is a boring vet who has been "meh" through two games. He has to be fourth on this list, right? Wrong. That's the beauty of the RotoBaller Who to Start? tool -- it takes emotion out of things and just analyzes the players and matchups. All the rest of the receivers on this list seem like they have higher ceilings, but Thielen should get the job done in the best matchup. Smith is in a good spot, too, but there are a lot of mouths to feed on that Eagles' offense. The same goes for Dotson, and no matter how good Wilson looked last week, it's still tough to trust a rookie WR with Joe Flacco throwing to him.

Start or Sit?: Week 3 fantasy TE lineup advice from RotoBaller

T.J. Hockenson (vs. Vikings) vs. Dawson Knox (@ Dolphins) vs. Gerald Everett (vs. Jaguars) vs. Logan Thomas (vs. Eagles)

Hockenson has been a huge disappointment so far this year, while Everett has been one of the biggest surprises. Knox and Thomas have been solid and play on high-powered offenses, but once again, RotoBaller defaults to the more proven veteran. Matchup-wise, it's a good spot for Hockenson considering how Dallas Goedert owned the Vikings last week, but Everett is in a good spot, too. He probably has the highest floor based on what we've seen this year, but Hockenson is certainly due for a good performance.
