Everything is coming up Chiefs this year.

Four months after Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce captured their second Super Bowl win, the duo entered The Match as slight underdogs and still made it look easy.

It wasn't a perfect night for the NFL stars by any means, but they made it work. Kelce's shockingly strong night helped make up for Mahomes' errant tee shots, and the MVP quarterback's short game was the difference on many of the first few holes.

Mahomes and Kelce won the second, third, and fourth holes to jump out to a commanding lead, and it wasn't until the ninth hole that the Splash Brothers finally captured a win. By that point, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson still needed a miracle — one they didn't get. By winning the 10th hole, the Chiefs' duo secured the 3 and 2 win.

Curry was considered the best golfer of the bunch entering the night. From the tee, that still appears to be true. However, shaky putting by both Curry and Thompson sunk their team, while some impressive shots by Kelce gave the Chiefs' side the boost it needed.

The win is just one more accolade for Mahomes, who was drafted as a baseball player, became a champion on the football field and, apparently, can play a little golf as well.

The Match live updates, highlights from 2023 golf contest

(All times Eastern)

10:23 p.m. — Of the four tee shots on the 12th hole, Curry's was the only one to land on the green. Impressive shot, compared to the others, and the closest to the hole. That'll do it from Las Vegas! Mahomes and Kelce are the winners of The Match.

10:18 p.m. — The Match is over, but both teams will play the 12th hole looking to produce $2 million for a hole-in-one. Money will still be raised for a shot that lands within five feet of the hole, as well as for the closest shot.

10:13 p.m. — Mahomes and Kelce win The Match! They're not done yet, but by preventing the Splash Brothers from winning the 10th hole, the victory is in hand.

10:05 p.m. — Mahomes quashes Ernie Johnson's suggestion that we might be seeing a Chiefs collapse and says he always keeps games close until the end. A few NFL teams might disagree.

9:56 p.m. — The Splash Brothers are finally on the board! Mahomes' putt misses, and Curry sprints off the green to his cart. Three down with three holes to play.

9:49 p.m. — Kelce continues to be the star of the show...he sticks a shot right on the green, and it catches the slope to put the Chiefs' duo in great position.

9:42 p.m. — So close...

9:37 p.m. — The Splash Brothers have found a little something in these last two holes, but it's still not enough to put a point on the board. Another tie leaves the score 4-0 in favor of Mahomes and Kelce.

9:25 p.m. — Shockingly, Draymond Green has become the center of attention in an event he's not participating in.

9:21 p.m. — Thompson FINALLY sinks a putt, and Draymond Green is fired up. The score, though? Still 4-0 in favor of Mahomes and Kelce.

9:15 p.m. — Travis Kelce's golf skills have to be the biggest takeaway so far. Not perfect, but he continues to put Mahomes in position to capitalize on his shots.

9:09 p.m. — Something tells me this doesn't hit Mahomes too hard after the Chiefs beat the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game a few short months ago...

8:52 p.m. — Some disastrous putting from Thompson and Curry on the sixth hole. Thompson's ball stops an inch before the hole, while Curry's pulls right. The Chiefs win the hole and lead 4-0. It's a rout.

8:50 p.m. — Kelce and Mahomes both had long putt attempts to win the hole. Kelce's came close... Mahomes' didn't.

8:35 p.m. — Curry's try for an eagle to win the hole goes left, but the Splash Brothers will settle for a tie here and keep the deficit at 3-0.

8:33 p.m. — Mahomes' short game has been the difference. He takes the shot Kelce sets up and puts his team in position for a birdie on this par-5.

8:25 p.m. — The shaky tee shots from the Chiefs' duo forces some shots from the crowd, but Kelce does a very nice job of getting out of trouble and puts it in a good spot.

8:21 p.m. — The fifth hole might be Curry and Thompson's best chance to finally getting a win. After rough tee shots from Mahomes and Kelce, Curry comes through with a beauty.

8:13 p.m. — Wow, both Curry and Thompson miss their putts on the fourth hole and hand another win to Mahomes and Kelce. The Chiefs' duo has won three consecutive holes and leads 3-0.

8:11 p.m. — Kelce's putt just misses, but Mahomes plays his shot and knocks it right in! The two-time Super Bowl MVP's short game has been solid.

8:10 p.m. — Mahomes and Thompson overshoot a bit with their second shot on this par-3. Better results for Kelce and Curry, though.

7:55 p.m. — Kelce misses his putt by a hair, pulling it just left, but Mahomes sinks his shot to win the hole. It's 2-0, Chiefs. Mahomes and Kelce have won back-to-back holes.

7:46 p.m. — Mahomes almost ends up in the mulch again, but his tee shot gets a great bounce to roll back into a more doable spot.

7:41 p.m. — The second hole belongs to Mahomes and Kelce! An impressive birdie after a tough start to the hole for the duo. Mahomes' third shot was tremendous and set it up.

7:36 p.m. — Mahomes and Kelce with a couple GREAT third shots on the second hole. Thompson's third shot was the only one that didn't end up on the green. These will be critical putts.

7:27 p.m. — Curry is the only one to hit the fairway to start the second hole. This is a par-5, so still plenty of time for the other three champs to get the ball where they want it.

7:24 p.m. — Both teams are tied through one hole.

7:05 p.m. — It looks like we're a few minutes away from these guys teeing off... They'll play 12 holes tonight.

6:56 p.m. — Curry is ready. Charles Barkley is changing his pick though. He likes the way Travis Kelce was swinging in warmups and is rolling with the Chiefs' duo.

6:42 p.m. — Draymond Green says he doesn't think Mahomes or Kelce can compete with Stephen Curry. Green is on hand with Von Miller.

6:32 p.m. — The broadcast is underway, featuring with a slimmed-down Charles Barkley. All four competitors are still warming up.

6:16 p.m. — Who wins best dressed?

6:04 p.m. — It's not September yet, but Mahomes and Kelce have their game faces on.
